Municipalities in Flanders face ambitious energy renovation targets, but the housing stock is diverse and complex. Without clear and actionable insights, defining local priorities and designing effective policies is a major challenge.
VVSG and VITO/EnergyVille required a solution that would:
- Consolidate complex housing and energy datasets into a clear, user-friendly interface.
- Enable municipalities to identify renovation priority zones.
- Provide a strategic reference tool to guide local renovation and energy transition policies.
The objective of our collaboration was to translate complex algorithms, based on vast amounts of data, into a clear and easy-to-understand application that highlights the added value for the end client. What we enjoyed most was the transparency, open communication, and the stepped approach towards building the MVP.
